From Strength to Strength
The history of Straits Construction began with the vision and fervour of a young man. As a teenager, Wong Swee Chun joined the construction industry as an apprentice to fulfil his passion for building homes. Amassing his experience and motivated by the rapid development of Singapore, he started Straits Construction in 1969.
Straits Construction secured its first public housing construction project at Serangoon Avenue 4 in 1982. Since then Straits Construction has grown from strength to strength. The following milestones chart our growth trajectory:
